John Squared was the film for my first year Video Production paper. I worked in a group of four, and was the co-director of the film. We were all very new to the process of film making and it was quite a challenge coming up with our story. This film took many weeks of planning and three days of filming with help from our talented actor Jordan Rivers. This film was a Tropfest Finalist, winning the best actor category and has since been screened on multiple occasions, at The Wellington Public Cinema Film Festival, and at Lighthouse Cinema for Massey's Antipodes event. I am very proud of how well this film did, considering it was my first attempt at creating a film, and it has led to many amazing opportunities.
