Hikoi Filming

Today I was asked to film/document a Hikoi for Massey University. I'm in charge of everything, audio, filming and editing, but will hopefully get some help from someone so that they can take care of audio recording on the day! At this stage I'm a little nervous because I've never done anything like this before and the weather is not looking flash for the day of the Hikoi but I'm really excited that I've been offered this opportunity. So I've just had a talk with a couple of the people in charge and their main concern is getting all the audio recorded because in the past they've used the camera audio and it hasn't worked out that well due to wind and distance from the speaker. So i've booked out a Canon 5D with a monopod for filming, a GoPro for backup if it rains, a Zoom H4n recorder for audio with a shotgun mic and a blimp and a UWP-D Wireless Mic to attach to the main speaker. The Hikoi should go for about 4 hours so I'll also have to get extra batteries and rain ponchos to cover gear if needed. Hope it all goes well!
